The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the world’s shared plan to end extreme poverty, reduce inequality, and protect the planet by 2030. With a total of 17 goals, the SDGs were adopted by 193 countries in 2015 and to this day are goals that have emerged from the most inclusive and comprehensive negotiations in UN history. As the United Nations recognizes achieving all 17 goals by 2030 will require "heroic and imaginative effort, determination to learn about what works, and agility to adapt to new information and changing trends," InHerShoes believes through communal courage, the audacity to be 1% more, the Sustainability Development Goals are not only possible, but the tipping point for a more just, sustainable, courageous world.
