About the Summit Committee Chairs
Kayla Parades (KP) (She/Her)
Seattle, WA
Kayla Aka KP is a proud member of the LGBTQ community in Seattle. KP grew up in a small town raised by a single mother, who instilled the strength to never give up and a powerful sense of curiosity in her. KP thrives to uplift and encourage others to challenge societal norms, find their true identity, and live by their own rules. KP found her resilience during a career change into User Experience Design where she is passionate about bridging the gap between people and technology.
Bidisa Mukherjee (She/Her)
San Francisco, CA
Bidisa Mukherjee is a SF Bay Area native who is currently working in sales ops & analytics at Human Interest, a fintech startup. She is very passionate about mental health awareness and womxn empowerment, practicing the latter by leading the InHerShoes Bay Area Chapter. She is a forever learner and enjoys books and podcasts. Outside of work, you can find her attempting new recipes, hiking around the Bay Area, exploring coffee shops, and working out.
Amber Sotomayor (She/Her)
Los Angeles, CA
Amber is a former HS educator, a certified grant writer, and recent paralegal graduate committed to combating the globalization of indifference. She first met IHS at their very first Summit, and has been working with them ever since. Together, they created the Emerging Leaders Camp, a 6-9th grade extension of the Summit from 2016-2019. She now works at Larson LLP and assists with pro bono adoption work. She is always working towards making herself better mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
